Well, I'm half way there and I've only skipped one day! I've read (uh... don't ask me where!) that when it comes to most life changes, it takes 2 weeks to create a routine. I think that might be a low estimate, but hopefully 30 days will be enough. I love getting home and just knowing that my night will, at some point, consist of a workout because... well... it's the routine. Hopefully this means that when these 30 days are up, I'll keep gettin' it*.
As far as changes, I think I've lost a bit... but I don't know for sure because I hate scales. I was seeing a nutritionist a couple years ago and the guy actually told me I look like I weigh less than I actually do - and that I have dense bones or something. It's one thing for a friend or random person to tell you that - but ever since this professional told me that, I've decided scales are crap. I'd rather measure by how my clothes fit. And they are *slightly* looser. Yay! But still a long way to go before my skinny (and probably out of style by now) jeans fit again.
Still, I ate some junk this weekend (Mexican food), but... no looking back! ONWARD to health!
*"gettin' it" is a southernism meaning "keep going". Hehe.
you are doing GREAT Sarah!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't lost alot of weight this month but lost more inches, so I am ok with that because I HATE scales as well.
YAY! Way to kick butt with this thing!!
